Matte

No shine at all, so type reads from any angle and the print sits well behind glass. The usual choice for an event, a menu board or a conference.

Satin

A soft sheen with almost no texture. Color stays rich and the glare stays down.

Gloss

Bold color, deep blacks and a shine. Holds fine detail, and shows a fingerprint.

Luster

A light texture that cuts the glare, so color holds up from any angle. It takes handling well.

Metallic

A pearl base under the gloss. The light seems to come out of the print, and color reads bolder.

Ready to hang.

Most posters go as they come off the roll. Add a clear laminate for a poster that gets handled, or a board for an easel, a lobby or a booth.

  • Print only

Trimmed to size. The one to frame, pin up or hang from a rail.

  • Laminated

A clear film over the face, gloss or matte, for a poster that gets handled, wiped or hung where people pass.

  • Mounted

On foam board, light and stiff, for an easel or a lobby, or on PVC board, which shrugs off damp and a trip to a trade show. A poster on a board is picked up here in Durham, or we quote its shipping.

How it works.

Four short steps, on a phone or at a desk, from your file to a poster on the wall.

  1. 01

    Upload

A PDF at the finished size works best, and an image is fine too. Several designs in one order is fine.

  2. 02

    Choose

A size, a paper, a finish and how many, and as many sizes of one design as you like. A PDF that matches a size chooses it for you.

  3. 03

    Check

See each poster on its sheet with its measurements, and the order as it is priced. Approve it there, or ask for a proof first. A digital proof is always free.

  4. 04

    Check out

Your posters go into your cart, and you check out as you would with anything else. Pick them up here in Durham, or we ship them. A poster on a board is picked up, or we quote its shipping.

Build the file at the finished size, with 0.25 in of bleed if the color runs to the edge. Images are best at 300 pixels per inch, the standard we print to, and a poster read from a few feet away is still sharp above 150. The ordering page tells you where yours stands. More in the artwork guide ›

Something bigger?
